Any downsides? Fed up trying to get my Belkin F5D 7050 to work! Thanks all.

They do work and quite effectively. They are slower than a standard Ethernet connection but not much. They are however faster than most wireless setups. they are also versatile insofar as one connects to your router and the other can be moved to whichever room you are working in. On a nice day you can even use an extension lead (with care) into the garden if you wish. Yahoo answers in the sunshine with a laptop and a few cold beers, almost heaven.

Make sure all the units are from the same manufacturer/model as well.

yeah they do work but the plug sockets you use have to be on the same cable ring, so ou may not be able to use it upstairs and downstairs., but will most likely work on one floor only.
