I usually have a bright red period, but the last few months it has had a maroon/ purplish tent to it?

I'm regualr and 20, my husband and I are trying to get pregnant, and since we started I've noticed the color of my menstral blood has had a purple/maroonish tint to it at first, and then I have almoust no blood flow after the first day. What could be going on? Am I woorying over nothing? Thanks for the help.

The maroonish color can be because of the lining that is being shed every month, but because of the purplish tint that is noticed I would recommend seeing your doctor for further evaluation of the situation to see what they think is going on.
