I recently got my internet hooked up through a cable modem through my cable company.
When the technician hooked the internet up, he was on the guest acount to my windows XP laptop.

I have my own account on XP which holds the administrative privilages but when i click on the internet explorer page it this page cannot be displayed, I dont know how to get the internet to work on my own account, any help would be greatly appreciated, im in a time jam I have to get some work done, please help

Log out, Restart, logon as administrator.
Try going to the Control Panel, open Users. Check settings.

If this doesn't work, make a call to the tech who worked on your PC. They can connect to your computer without coming to your home and hopefully can correct the situation without having to make another house call.

go into control panel click on user accounts then click create a new account i hope this helps you sorry if it didnt good luck
