In High school we have macs so that is what i learned on. Now i prefer windows

Windows..... as you will have access to more freeware and sharewars.
Mac os is unix based. so less softwares. But hell of lot secure and faster.
BTW vista eats abt 500 MB RAM when its idel and you can not work properly till you have 2 GB RAM in your laptop.
