If they go to tiebreak then yes I do, but only if I think I have given a truly good answer - and when I do go back over questions in voting I sometimes vote for others if I think they have given a better answer.

As for the person below me ......... there is nothing at all DISHONEST in voting for yourself at all, unless you are doing it when you have posted a rubbish answer.

If there was Yahoo wouldn't allow it.

EDIT: I also do what Macey does - go back through old questions I haven't answered and try to break the tiebreaks, there are too many old questions stuck in limbo and if more did that we could start to clear them out.

EDIT2: Lynda - I don't know where you get the false idea you can't vote for yourself with the account you answered the question YOU CAN. Your comment is basically saying anyone who does that is breaking rules by having multiple accounts, and that is an insult to those of us who use this site as it is intended and do vote for ourselves IF WE ARE THE BEST ANSWERER.

EDIT3: Irish Mommy, it's NOT anonymous if you know what you are looking for - your own question does stand out from others .... check the report flag.

I do occasionally keep up with a question I'm particularly interested in, but I simply vote for the answer I like best. Sometimes it's my own. Often it's someone else's. It is anonymous during the voting, after all, so often I can't even remember exactly which answer is mine to begin with, especially if others have given similar answers that might hit points I possibly forgot or simply seem better-worded ... I might genuinely prefer theirs! Keeps us honest, right? ;)

When I run out of answers, I'll sometimes go back and vote for my answers. I only vote if I think I gave a good answer.

Sometimes otherwise the vote could end in a tie. I also will vote on old questions that are a year old in some categories.

No, I don´t. I just figure one of these months I´ll get a response that I´ve been chosen by a vote.

I did that once by mistake, because I thought wow this answer and I are on the same wavelength

I don't vote for myself. I know that's why people come up with "signatures" on their answers, so they can easily find their answer & vote for it.

Yes, but not all the time. If I am really bored (usually late at night and I can't sleep), I do!
