That is cool !!
We have Sutter's Fort here in town.
The "Fort" was built by Swiss immigrant John Sutter more than 150 years ago. It was the only refuge from Indians for anyone coming to the Sacramento Valley in the early days.
The fort is famous for its association with the Donner Party, the California Gold Rush and with establishment of Sacramento. The adobe structure has been restored to its original condition and is listed as a California State Historic Park.
LOL, it is right smack in the middle of downtown!
But it is cool, too.

I live in Freeland, Michigan and there are a lot of cool things. First of all the elementary school is haunted (there used to be a cemetary and none of the bodies were removed). There is also many haunted cemataries and one bridge. Second is that our marching band (which I'm in) is the third best in the state. I am very proud of my little town which I live in. Thanx for asking!!!!!

I live in Salt Lake City which was founded by Mormon pioneers. the history is really fascinating. Those people endured so much to quite literally, in many cases, WALK across the country.
