Like a lot of other mushrooms. With the most deadly look alike, symptoms start as bad gastro intestinal upset followed by a remission of symptoms for several weeks. Then the liver shuts down with hepatitis like symptoms and death. A liver transplant is the only cure. There are NO mushrooms that can kill in hours!! Get involved with a local mycological or mushroom club in your area, they're more common than you think. Go on some mushroom forays and learn to identify the edible, poisonous and yes they will show you how to identify the "funny ones" and make sure you have a good "trip" to somelace other than the ER.. Psilicibin, dear. Google it. Grow on cow manure, in the spring, in the morning, after a rain IF the cows have NOT been treated with an antifungicide. Oh, Purple and Gold.

I wouldn't go out and eat a mushroom out of a pile of horse poo based on the answers on this page. Mushroom identification is a difficult thing and needs to be left up to experienced people.
a mistaken poisonous mushroom could kill you in less than two minutes.

im pretty sure they only grow on cow poo..... like in the dawn they grow on top and people pick them.. theyre small whiteish about 1 to 2 inches.. skinny..

Well, usually they grow in cow crap, and are brown w/ white stems.
