My powder puff smells bad! I thought you could use the same puff for the life of the powder (I use a pressed powder/compact), but maybe I'm wrong. Is it bad for your skin to use the same puff for the life of the powder?

The oils from your face tend to build up on the powder puff causing bacteria. You can wash them and/or buy a pack of disposable ones.

All kinds of bacteria can grow in your powder puff. Use disposable puffs, or wash yours at least once a week.

Wash the puff or replace it. The puff gets dirty from skin oils, makeup residue, etc. way before you use up the powder.

I would wash it with a mild soap/facial cleanser and let air dry. Or just buy another one. They are bad for your skin because the dirt and bacteria can keep spreading and then if you're using it everyday, it just continues .

If you clean it in warm soapy water and dry it out, there's no reason it would be bad for your skin
