I think so. Wikipedia has lots of good info, and has info on everything, but there is a good chunk that is falsified. And, unfortunately, they don;t have enough people to clean the spam and misinformation up immediately (I know a kid who was queen of England for 2 weeks before being removed). So, while I think it is a good thing to use, kids should also check whatever they get off of it.

Very broad question with a very complicated answer.

Kids could be using too much, but the concept of wikipedia is to improve and grow with user content submissions.

I.E. Wikipedia could be something to be relied on if it was used properly and some people did not 'alter' and or falsify info on it.

I don't think so. When kids are told to write a report on some obscure topic, it's a lot easier to look to Wikipedia and get some background knowledge than to go to the library and dredge through 20 books before finding the one piece of information needed. On the other hand, they should be aware that other resources are available.

I guess. I mean, you find all that information there. I go there for songs. Their explanations on the educational stuff seems so detailed and complex.

But every once in a while, when you decide to press the "Random Page" button at the Main Page, you see little irrelevant comments here and there.

Yes, why would someone search 10 websites for an information when Wiki has all of it?

Oh yeah. I never give Best Answers to those who have blatantly copied from the site.

i look at it pretty much everytime i have to research something, but i was told by my teachers not to use it because it isn't a reliable source, and if we write it as a source on anything for my physics class we get marks deducted XD, how mean is that!!! lol
