You need to start temping first thing tomorrow morning. It's best to start from the first day of your period, but it'll be fine this month. Just go to http://www.fertilityfriend.com/
and join for a free account. Enter the first day of your period and start with tomorrow's temp. And remember, you need to temp at the same time each morning, after 3 consecutive hours of sleep, and don't eat, drink, or get out of bed before temping.
Enter your temps each day at Fertilityfriend and it will put a red line up after you have ovulated--called your coverline. When charting your BBT it won't tell you when you are ovulating, it will tell you after the fact that you did ovulate and on what day. When your temp rises 0.2-0.4 degrees or more and stays up for 3 days in a row then you can safely assume you ovulated the day before your temp went up. But just start putting your temps in on FF and it will help you out.

FertilityFriend.com is a great website to help with charting your BBT. Go there and join a free account. Get a digital Basal thermometer from walmart or any pharmacy. It cost about 10 bucks. Take your temp first thing in the morning, same time everyday. So, set an alarm clock and put the thermometer right beside you so that you don't have to move too much before you take your temp. Make sure you have at least 3 hours of consecutive sleep to ensure accuracy.
Your temp will usually start of lower, probably around high 96 or low 97. After you ovulated, you will see a temp increase. If you have 3 high temps in a row, FF will give you a cross line, to indicate when you ovulated. Some people have a temp dip right before they ovulate, but I never had that. Temperature usually stays above the coverline after your ovulated, until your period is due. If you have 18 days of high temp in a row, you are probably pregnant. Have fun charting!! and good luck!!

This isn't a tip on BBT. I just thought that I should let you know that I've heard charting BBT isn't too helpful as it tells you when you have ovulated, not giving you much time to get that egg fertilised.

Using ovulation strips is meant to be better since they tell you when you are going to ovulate so give you the best 2 days to conceive.

I'm still trying, though, so I can't say for certain!!!

I would recommend, in addition to charting your BBT, that you begin charting your cervical mucus because it lets you know when you are most fertile. Have you read Taking Charge of Your Fertility? If not, I highly recommend it. I also use Fertilityfriend.com. It helps with the interpretation of your chart.

Yep, confirm you notice on your chart which you had a disturbance in sleep. I do it to myself all of the time. Your temperature substitute into maximum possibly somewhat larger from getting up.
