Sometimes their arrogant self righteous OPINIONS are just too much to digest. It just seems to me that most of them(not all), are just wannabee players or coaches that couldn't or didn't make it in professional sports, so they used their college degree and/or what athlectic experience they may have, to get a job with some television network, sports magazine, or local newspaper so that they can feed their deflated damaged egos with the media spotlight.
The main thing is that I get sick and tired of their biased "opinions". How can they be so adimate about one certain team beating another?? Yes, some games are fairly easy to predict, but some are not. When sports Analyst makes a prediction about the outcome of any certain game, shouldn't they be held accountable for being wrong?? I mean after all, here they are scrutinizing athletes for not performing well, or making mistakes in their personal lives.
WHO IS HOLDING SPORTS ANALYST ACCOUNTABLE???

Wow, quite a rant.

Predictions are absolutely the silliest thing that sports journalists do. Can anyone predict the future? Nope. And it can affect relationships with teams for journalists. Picking the home team to lose can make you unpopular with players, coaches and fans. And even if you are right, no one cares.

The only good thing is that most people don't take it too seriously. There might be some good natured kidding about a football writer being well under .500 in picks, but hopefully fans aren't relying on that information to make large wagers.

If we got rid of that aspect of the business, it would be fine with me.

For a team that had only 16 losses in the regular season, they got no respect from the national sports analysts. They struggled with the Hawks, so how can they beat a team that was above .500? The Cavs series also went seven games, so they're tired and can't win on the road. Sure, they beat the Pistons in 6, winning two games on the road, but the toll of all the games will take effect on the aging players. They may have started out two games ahead of the Lakers, but Kobe Bryant is the best player in the world. Most of them are on the Celtics bandwagon by now...
