I sell make up and other products at my local flea market. I now have seen that ever since I started selling there's a lot more competition with vendors selling very similar items as mine. I offer lower prices while still make a small profit in order to gain customers. I have my regular customers the problem is that I have this customer who buys ALOT of make up products from me "to send it to her sisters in Mexico" But since she buys a lot she always expects for me to give her a discount. Last time she came I gave her a big discount. I appreciate that she buys a lot from me but I can't afford to give her big discount since I am already selling at the lowest price. I feel like I am" too nice" or dumb, lol. How can I tell her nicely that I can't just give her discounts on everything she buys when she is always persuading me too. Alot of customer do and I'm thetype of person who can't say no.

Maybe put up a sign "All Prices As Marked" and below write it "Sorry No Discounts" .

I know how you feel that as my b/f and I work the flea market's on occasion and find that people want you to give something for nothing .

Whats to say that the woman that tells you that she sends the makeup to her sister in Mexico isn't re selling it at some other flea market or maybe even at the same one your at only some where you can't see her? I know that ALOT of people do that where we go .

Sometimes once you give a person a one time break they want to take advantage of your kindness.

Next time tell her you can do "xxx" off this time, but it's not as low as last time because a lot of your base costs have gone up for your supplies. Tell her she's been great and you've discounted it down as far as you can for her because you really value her business, then let the subject drop.

Nobody expects anyone to sell at a loss, which you'd be doing if you keep going lower and lower.

i would be very nice to her and tell her exactly what you were talking about.... that you really appreciate her buisness but your costs are so high that you need to make some profit to be able to pay for the booth each week and you are trying to keep your prices as low as you can ....and you can afford to give her a "small" discount .... but only because she is so special and a loyal customer
