Oh I love those moments. I had a boyfriend named Vince with a sister named Gina. One day at a large family event "Mom" got peeved with Gina and began to yell at her but Vince started to come out of her mouth first. Sounded something like this. "Vi...gina get out of that bathroom now, we have to talk!" hahahahaha To Ginas horror this is brought up at EVERY family gathering.

I have a double first name having been born and raised in the south which I hated but mostly was called by the first part. Whenever Mom got mad, she always used them both! But oh Lord, watch out if she used my whole name strung out.

I was just thankful it wasn't something like Billy Lee Jo Bob :O)))

BRAT... & I'd run when I heard that word, cuz I knew it would be followed by her hand to my head! That was just her way of dealing with stress. HIT & yell, yell & hit. Say something back to her & she turned into "Mommy Dearest"! Look at her the wrong way & she'd really lose it. No one ever called the Police. It was different in the 50's & 60's! All adults could be angry & violent with children...they called it discipline & respect for your elders!

My mom didn't call me anything at all. In fact, if she was angry with me, she would not talk to me for 2-3 days when I was a kid. Not at all. These days, as a 35+ person, if she gets angry with me, she ignores me for MONTHS. Guess I've gotten used to it and these days too, it seems a little less of a punishment (!). Personally, I'd rather be yelled at and get it over, than have it drag on for days being ignored.

She called me by my name. The only other things she ever called me were "Punkin" and "Sweetpea."

Wait! I just read the rest of your question! Too funny! All mothers go through that. I'd do that to my two, and the list of names I ran through included the dogs' names. (Too frazzled to think clearly, you know.)

My son would chastise me. "Mom, I'm not a dog!"

I would also sometimes call them "Missy" or "Buster."

I tried that on my husband's grandson once, when he was being particularly rambunctious, chasing the cat. I yelled, "Stop!" -- the cat screeched to a halt! I turned to Jacob and said, "That goes for you, too, Buster!"

And he said, "My name's Jacob. I'm not Buster." (Out of the mouths of babes! He was 5 at the time.)

My mother only angry to my dad, not to her children. She did upset a lot, but didn't angry to us, instead, she just took the car key and left us. Otherwise :
She put her anger to something, she might threw plates or glass but didn't say any words just locked her self in her bed room, then she would be out as if nothing happened, that scared me a lot.
I am scared of my mother.

Now that she is old >82 ; when she feels upset, she just simply say, " I am dizzy" ,or " I feel that I am gonna get fainted".

My mother didn't have memory problems so I got the full name at the top of her lungs, followed by some dire threat. I have often wondered, now that I've been married three times, if she could do the full legal title but I haven't tested her.

I don't remember. All I know is she was a crazy *** psycho ***** when angry. I remember dying my hair when I was ******* 20 and she stopped speaking to me for weeks. It was so ******* long that I went back to the hair salon and got the dye out.
My mom pops so many pills. She's almost Anna Nicole Smith's twin.

I am a 52 year old woman. I am sorry to say she called me a jerk and an idiot, and a good for nothing. I am also sorry to say I did the same thing with my daughter. I have forgiven my mother, may she rest in peace. She did the best she could. She was trying to raise me to be a "good" woman. My daughter has forgiven me. She understands.
