Where do guys get a really nice mustache/beard trimmer?

My boyfriend wants one for his upcoming birthday. In the past I have purchased these for him, but the last one I got he said was cheap & he wanted a nicer one. When I do find them, I stand there staring because I have no idea which is better! It would be like asking a guy to pick a new lipstick for me, lol. So any suggestions? (I live in the L.A. area.)
