I love the beach. As a kid, my dad worked for the Parks commission and we went to the beach an awful lot as kids. From Jones Beach to Robert Moses to Captree, we were always sunning ourselves or rolling in the surf. To this day, I bring my kids to the beach at Robert Moses and marvel at how bad the erosion affected the beach, and at how beautiful the ocean is. As a family, my wife and I like to take the kids to the beach very early in the morning (even in the winter) and eat breakfast in the car, while the deer wander right up to the window of the car, and then take the kids out for a long walk with their metal detectors.

When I was a police officer in the city, I often took Ocean Parkway home and stopped by Robert Moses field two and watch the sun and surf for a while with a hot cup of coffee and relax after a particularly stressful tour. Have fun with your friends and remember that the beach has wonderful memories for many of us, and it is a place to feel free.

*One memorable weekend we had was at the Cape May beach in New Jersey, beautiful place.

To the Beach

the Skin to be burnt
into Joy we have turned
the Hair to be bleached
our Heart to be teached
Sea Sun Sand and Wind
leave all trouble behind

We had lunch on the beach today in southern Spain. We had bbq freshly caught sardines and a salad and a tinto verano (summer wine) to drink. Do that about twice a week, & occasionally in winter on a warm day.

Oh, you're so lucky, my dear friend!
Haven't walked a beach since don't know when!
I just miss those barefoot strolls;
Those sandy walks on my home shores!

All those sunny picnics there;
The fun pocketing those washed off shells!
The friends I met whom some I've lost;
And wish to be with all again, I hope!

(HAVE A WONDERFUL BEACH DAY, RENA!)

I really like the beach. I recently visited one in Indiana. I had been to a few in Chicago so it was interesting to see the lake from the south instead of the west.

I am a Lover of the outdoors, which is the land where you can hear the Birds singing, squirrels, running around, and above all else the trees with their magic sway of moving their branches when the Wind whips them around. To your Question, I am sorry but I do not like the Ocean, but, to each its own. Have Fun.
