I live to the west so the BC green line is out of the question.

If you are near an Amtrak station or MBTA commuter rail, take the train to Boston-Back Bay. Amtrak services the Boston area. Call 1-877-632-3788 for automated information on schedules and rates.

The Boston College branch of the MBTA's "Green Line" (B) ends at the foot of the campus on Commonwealth Avenue.

How far west? Worchester? Or ride a bike?
If you have BC Football tickets - you've got a built in resource... Thousands of people are driving in. Email but better still call BC Athletics - and ask them how to get to a game --- it's a center of learning and resourcefulness and with that Jesuit philosophy - surely they care about the person who can't afford or chooses not to have - a car?
