I was wondering if there was any football programs in college that someone without high school experience could walk-on or try out for.

I'm not saying a division 1 level of play, just something someone in my position would have a better chance at joining.

Try your local community college. There are a lot more likely to welcome inexperienced players then private or even major public university's.

There are several football programs that would take people who have no high school experience. Lots of times basketball players in HS are recruited to play college football because in some positions the key attribute is athleticism (which you don't have to play HS football to have). It's easy enough to learn many positions in football. However, you would want to make sure that you're in very good shape as college athletics on any level are quite demanding.

I went to school with a guy who played B Ball all thru High School. Went to Tulsa on a B.Ball scholarship and as sophomore tried out for the football team and became a two starter on the D-line. And even played for the Steelers during the strike season. If your an athelete then you have a chance to walk on at most D-3 and JuCo schools.Try it worst they can say is no.

sure there are a large number of schools that have walk ons. you are paying your way through school so all you have to do is make the cut. there are no rules that say you have to play HS ball to play college. you are just playing with a handicap when you don't have that experience.

Most Division III schools will let you play, but you won't be on any scholarship. I don't think they offer athletic scholarship at that level. If you can play Division II then you might have a chance to be on a scholarship to play without expereince.

Most any school will allow you to try out. But contrary to popular belief there is a very high level of terminology and knowledge to be successful in football. Unless you are a kicker or you want to play for USC.

Try to walk on at a Junior College or Division III school, the competition isn't as steep there.

You might able to walk on or tryout but the chances of you actually making even a Div 3 or a Jr college team are slim to none.

Most programs will let you try out. Unless your trying out for a kicker or punter, the higher the division, the less chance you have unless you have some athletic experience.
