imagining how your offspring will look like is one of the really fun parts of being pregnant....i am fair skinned and have red hair, my husband has dark hair...our blue eyed boy has blonde/light brown hair....i was almost positive he'd have red hair...imagine my surprise when he was born with dark dark hair!! either way your baby girl is gonna be absolutely gorgeous....she'll get so many stunning traits from all the different ethnicities...she may be the first tan redhead with green eyes...i am jealous ! =)

No I dont feel at it is wrong at all to wonder about what your unborn child will look like.
It is interesting being that some responses were saying that it is not possible for the child to look like the both of you. That being said, my father is a mid lightskinned black man and my mother white woman w/ very light green eyes and light to med brown hair. There are 4 of us 2 boys and 2 girls and we all look just alike and we have the combination of my mother and father we have his face/head and we have her eyes some lighter than the other also, some of our hair is 2 curly 1 bone straight and 1 wavey it is pretty cool.
But best believe who ever she looks like she will be beautiful she has the best of both worlds and mixed babies are always beautiful.
God Bless!

I'm guessing dark, curly hair. Most likely brown eyes. The almond eyes and tan skin w/freckles is possible. But the dark hair and eyes are dominant and more likely to occur. Anything could happen though....and yes, it's normal to dream about what your child will look like. My hubby and I do it all the time! Just a tip for the skin color (I have several white friends married to black men)...the best way to know how light or dark they will be is to look at the color of the back of the ear (not the back when you flip it forward, but the curved edge toward the top of the ear) when they are born. That area will be darker than the rest and the child will most likely wind up being that color when he/she is older (they are usually born lighter than they will be later). Congrats!

No I think its fun that you guys are guessin what the baby might look like to see who will be right and wrong. Some people do a baby pool where everyone in the family and friends put up 5 bucks and You as the parents make a list of everyone in the pool and everyone picks a weight a day and a time of what they think the baby will be and when they think the baby will come and you write it next to their names and whoever is the closest on all three will win the money.. Its fun alot of parents post it on the fridge and later put it in the baby book so the child can grow up and see what family or friend thought they were going to come out like...

My husband and I play that game all the time.
I was just reading an article that said that dark eyes are dominant, so your little girl could have the awesome combination of red hair, brown eyes and freckles. She'll be gorgeous!
Then I read a contradictory article that said genetics are a crap shoot. One bi-racial couple, mom was white, dad was black, they had one son who was a perfect combination of the two, the other son was blonde hair blue eyes! Which didn't match either parent! CRAZY!
Guess you'll just have to wait and see!
Congrats on your upcoming arrival!

Put this in point of view. You're pregnant, yes. However you do not ought to depend on him for company each night. Sure, he's out tonight looking for his brother, but until it is a regular incidence, I do not see the trouble. I have kids, I fully grasp the clingy not sure feeling you get throughout being pregnant- but shelf it. It can be hormones and it's silly. This is his BROTHER. I might be searching every square inch of town if i could not in finding my sis- despite husbands insecurities.

the possibilities really are endless! the crazy thing about genetics is that you never know what you'll get. i had a friend who's family member was fair skinned red head (irish) and her husband was asian. the baby came out with olive skin, looked totally asian except he had bright red hair!!! other times the baby will look exactly like one parent and not at all like the other. good luck with all of your speculation!

Of course it's okay! You are both excited about the child who will come and change your lives forever! Besides, dreaming can do no harm:)
Just don't be disapointed if he/she doesn't turn out the way you thought...he/she will more likely look more like one of you (either you or your wife) than a combo of both...but you never know!
You can always try searching the web and finding out which genes are more likely to be the dominant genes:)
congrats, good luck, and God bless

The most magical wish is granted to two parents of an unborn child. One each of the very first wish that popped in your minds will occur. I'm sure you will have a very beautiful baby. Congratulations.
