truthseeker you are so misguided. I have no hate whatsoever! These maniacs want to kill us all including you. Have you not seen the beheadings and the other acts of war they have created?

I can tell by some of the angry I hate Bush responses the real differences between logic and common sense. The enemy is not our government but the terroist throughout the world that kill and maim people everyday.

Bluedevil, most so-called Americans HAVE forgotten the 9/11. Most of these Y! people think that President Bush is another Hitler!
Me, I support the American fighting men/women. I was in the Army. All of my brothers served in the military. My Uncle helped negotiate the peace treaty with Spain after the War of 1898!

I have never heard anyone say they don't support our troops. I have heard them say they don't support the war. Big difference. I am against the war (and always have been), but I donate blood every 9 weeks because of our troops, I send out a care package every other month, my 3 year old writes letters and makes pictures for our troops, and I donate to numerous organizations that provided for both our current troops and our Veterans Associations. So, since I don't agree with the war, and do all of these things (by the way, I do not have any family or friends over there) am I against our troops? Better yet, what do you do to support our troops?

Oh now they are islamo-nazis. What happened to islamo-fascists? Have we changed the name calling now, or what?

About the group that attacked us on 9/11 all are dead but the organization they belonged to and which is responsible for their actions is alive and well. They did not exist in Iraq while Saddam was in charge but since the US attacks they have increased in number exponentially. We spend our time, people and money in Iraq when those guys and their leadership are based in Afghanistan/Pakistan. The war in Iraq is not and never was about protecting America from anybody. Saddam was never a threat to us. That was started as a revenge move by Dubya because Saddam had threatened Dubya's daddy. The greatest recruiting tool Al Qaeda has had is the claim that infidels are on their sacred lands. Radical clergy and people like Bin Laden call for jihad which means holy war.

I support our troops everywhere in the world. I don't have to agree with their mission to support them. Some people can't separate them and the cause they are there for. Simple minds work that way. Those who only see the world in black and white can't see beyond the boundries posed by their narrow viewpoint. One who is broad minded and can see gray and even color has a much broader perspective and can understand the nuances and differences between the people and the cause. I know I am talking over your head but that is how it is.

When our men and women fight to defend our freedom and are not being used to support the finiancial interests of oil companies I will support them with everything I have. This is an illegal, immoral and corrupt act of aggression on our part in a country that was NO threat to anyone. It is wrong!! And we can best support our troops by bringing them home!

Could you explain this theory linking Fascism and Islamic Militancy? I studied history but could never understand the concept.

I mean, weren't fascists inspired by a biological interpretation of the state which sought to adapt feudal/Roman ideals of strength to the industrial era? Isn't fascism closely linked to the rise of the corporation and its designs to arrest the growth of workers movements?

Isn't the latest wave of Islamic militancy a heterogeneous development in response to various foreign aggressions?
Isn't the connection between various Islamist groups not at all analogous to the rise of loosely allied Fascist parties throughout early 20th century Europe?

I am sorry. Could you explain this concept to me?

LOOKS LIKE BUSH HAS

FLIP
"The most important thing is for us to find Osama bin Laden. It is our number one priority and we will not rest until we find him." G.W. Bush, 9/13/01
Washington Post, 9/17/01, UPI: Bush said he wants accused terrorist leader Osama bin Laden "dead or alive.” “I want justice...There's an old poster out West, as I recall, that said, 'Wanted: Dead or Alive,'"- G.W. Bush, 9/17/01, UPI
AP, 12/14/01: President Bush pledged anew Friday that Osama bin Laden will be taken "dead or alive."

FLOP: Capturing OBL no longer a priority:
G.W. Bush, 3/13/02: I don't know where Bin Laden is. I have no idea and really don't care. It's not that important. It's not our priority."

You are presenting the logical fallacy known as False Dichotomy; that is, you are speaking as if there are only two possible options when there are actually 3, 4, or dozens. It is entirely possible to simultaneously recognize the danger of violent religious zealotry AND the unwisdom of the Iraq invasion as a response.

5 or 6 of the supposed hijackers have been proven to be alive.

1 of them was interviewed by the BBC.

Yes. I want the people who conducted 9/11 prosecuted!!

Look at the Most Wanted poster on the FBI's website. There is not 1 word about 9/11 on Osama Bin Laden's poster.

Not Iraqi's. It is an invasion/occupation not a war aginst the terrorist. Who were mainly Saudi. Forgotten9/11? Absolutely not but it is a separate issue from what is going on in Iraq.
