I have friends who named their son Harrison and no lie they now are calling him "H ie" That's the letter H with followed by a hard E sound. Awful! People like to shorten names not matter what the parents intent. Tread lightly!

Lol, my brother's name is Daniel Harrison. He is 19 and loves his name. He actually goes by Harrison now (people found out his middle name in college and started calling him that).
Harrison is a really cool name....go for that.
