Hon they shrunk my balls.
Because I’m a golfer. Some of you may be shocked by this startling revelation about golfers’ balls, but this is not really new and I'm not the only one afflicted by this condition. As before us the universe unfolds, the natural order of things is that as men grow older their balls must diminish in size, as they should, whether they like it or not (although some do, lemme tell you). For others the change may be abrupt, as in gargantuan one day, and the very next day several balls could fit snugly in their front pockets. In my case the transformation came in slow, gradual steps I didn't even notice until it was all too late, at which point there was no remedy in sight.
I started with the medicine ball in high school gym. This sucker is heavy, maybe 20 lbs, and big, you can't handle this ball with one hand. You have to grasp this with two hands and sometimes it was necessary to use your two arms when carrying this ball. Then I played with basketball, smaller and much lighter as we know, really my sport, then volleyball, still smaller (I hated volleyball but I had to play it in college PE). Then it was on to soccer (she's right Aref), with still smaller ball, also my favorite but it could get boring I once fell asleep on the field while playing. After college I played a smaller ball in bowling, but due to poor hands-feet coordination I had to give up the sport and switched to tennis, which happened to be a fun sport but only if I were playing doubles (bah, if only I could hit the backhand).
And now golf. So why am I telling you this nonsense, when there are more important topics of discussion? Because I must share you this: since men play with balls, and their balls get smaller in time, eventually men are destined to play golf. It's inevitable. We must not argue with fate. GWTF.
Ohh you had a question. Yea it's a complete waste of time, exactly the reason I enjoy it. But let me tell you something else: other than work, playing golf is the only activity you can do for eight hours a day (if you play 27 holes). You can't eat, drink (even if you're jongbong), play (other than golf of course), dance, laugh, or even have sex continuously in that amount of time. I hope we are clear on this. MORE!!!!! oops FORE!!!!!!
ADD/EDIT
One lousy day at the golf course is better than one good day at the office. I just reaffirmed that today (scored 95). HAND!

I don't think so, especially if the person playing it finds it as a hobby. Kinda like that question (of yours, if I'm not mistaken) from a while back, "time you enjoy wasting isn't time wasted". To the person who enjoys playing golf, playing it is an enjoyable way to pass the time. And though I would very much prefer reading or going to the mall over golf, I can't really say that playing it is a waste of time. ^_^
Besides, if so many people enjoy it, maybe it may have the possibility of being enjoyable if we give it a chance. But like I said, I'd rather do other things. ^_^

No, I'm a skeptic too but playing golf is actually a lot of fun! It can be frustrating coz it's so hard to hit that white dimpled ball but if you're with the right crowd it is just pure fun. It is also relaxing and the walking part is not that bad.
EDIT: Gas? Most golf carts use electricity, they have rechargeable batteries. Is it different in the Phils?

there's a lot of greater land which would be used for all of that different stuff I recommend if mandatory Im particular some might get replaced yet its not that substantial of a deal. and you may probable be suprised at how a brilliant number of the U. S. inhabitants anyhow performs golf or has performed golf i might say that it is around 15% now i does not evaluate that a tiny proportion.

I used to think that way before. But when i played the mini golf (lol) it was actually a lot of fun, and then i decided to play the real golf even if i don't know the rules i still like it, but i don't take it seriously, I'm only playing for fun not to be good at it.

i guess, only to those who dont play it. i dont play it myself.
but i hit the driving range every once in a while & it helps one to relax & to calm ones nerves, once you hit your stride & the golf balls.
i have also tried the putting greens as well, you know where you try to put the ball inside the hole & i didnt feel that those were a waste of my time either, well the first few times of course, you wanted to hit your head with the putter.
well, try it at least once & see what happens. its either you'd like it or you dont. i didnt, but i have no dislike of it.
one more thing, definitely the sceneries, the ambiance & the crowd are not the ones one might be used to as with any other sports. but to each his own.
fore!

I think it's not...
If you say golf, the first thing that comes up into my mind about the person playing golf= professional...
you know, professionals, such as the people that are educated and high class,,,
golf is a sport for busy people...

As a game/sport I do think that it's a waste of time. As a form of exercise I would have to say it's wonderful....going for a long walk in the fresh air with nice scenery and you don't even realise that your actually doing the exercise. Obviously I am not talking about using the carts/buggys.

Yeah, its a waste of time. I'd rather go for an hour swim in a pool than playing golf.
Aref, if I remember he is not playing golf, he's dribbling a basketball.

I tried to play golf and it was the most boring game ever. Bunch of lazy people most the time just using cart to get from hole to hole and they call this sport?
Did I mention how expensive to even play?
Maybe when I retire and be called "Senior Citizen" lazy to walk, then might consider giving it another chance, but for now, I have more challenging sports to keep my heart and blood pumping.
