I think it's a liquid but I'm not entirely sure.

Pentane is a liquid at room temperature 25ºC.

It's bp is 36.1 ºC

It is a liquid, because when talking about hydrocarbons etc, the amount of carbon atoms determines the state they are at room temperature. Sorry, I can't use smaller script for the numbers!

C1-C4 - gases
C5-C17 - liquids
C18 + - solids

Pentane is C5H12, so it is a liquid.

It is a liquid. I have used it many times in the lab. It has a boiling point of 36.1C at room temperature.
