you know, with the saying, "cried great big crocodile tears"?

They absolutely do! They have lachrymal glands that secrete fluid and tear ducts that open in the eye for lubrication, just like us.
The saying was meant to be taken as false. The story goes that they cry when they kill their prey, so "crocodile tears" are a fake show of emotion. But some people say the saying comes from the fact that they don't have tear ducts, and that is not true.

Yes they do. I've got a great close-up photo I took in Tanzania of a fly drinking the lacrimal discharge (tear) of a giant Nile Crocodile.

Those tears are really large droplets of water from where he just emerged. I think they were talking about the size, large tears.
