Yes it is fine, Do not buy based on the rating, ESRB is a joke. Look at the trailers and screenshots online and decide whether it is appropriate yourself.

I have to agree with Ron Burgundy. I'm 50 and I spent 7 years in the Marines (age 20-27/1977-1984) and RE4 is my personal 2nd favorite game, but it isn't for the young. The zombies may be zombies but they look like and were people before they were infected with the parasite and you have to KILL ALL OF THEM!! That is not something a 12 year old should get used to. Also the main bad guy (Saddler) kidnapped the presidents daughter to try and overthrow the U.S. Again this may not be what you want your child to get used to. There is a lot of violence, blood, gore, some sex and adult language in RE4, it most definitely deserves the "M" for mature rating. In the end it's up to you, if your child is mature enough and understands the difference between right and wrong in the real world as opposed to right and wrong in the gaming world then let him/her play it.

Its not appropiated for a 6th grader but games are just games and not reality.
If your 6th grader is smart enough not to do it in real life and personally will not be affected by the game then theres nothing wrong with Resident Evil 4 because its just zombies.

Well, this game is pretty gory. If I had a child that age, I don't think I'd let them play it. There are some quite disturbing images for a child that young. But that is a decision as a parent you have to make. I'd say no, but if you decide to let the child play, at least play it yourself, then make up your mind.

It is a very violent, gory and scary game.Someone said that kids younger than that are playing it,which is true.I blame parents for not monitoring what their kids are playing, watching and doing.I think it is up to you to decide if the game is appropriate for your child.Like I said the game is violent, gory and scary.

it all depends how much you trust your 6th grader to play it...games are games...yes the world seems to think that violent games...where ppl shoot zombies or other ppl...are bad games and it shows your kids that killin is fun and blah blah blah....its not the games that make kids go out and shoot ppl...or rob banks or what.....let them play the game.,...when they cant beat it a certain part of the game and they try enuf...they'll stop playin it anyways ...

no!
i am almost 30 and I can't play it because I am too busy hiding behind my hands.
Seriously, You don't want to desensitize your children to violence. You want them to think killing is bad and some of these games make it seem so fun...
I wouldn't.
