I think it's rational (although can be a waste of energy/time) to hate some people. Sometimes you just DO NOT get along with someone, or somebody does something really awful to you, and it's perfectly normal to hate them for that.

That is an absolute 'hard' question. It seems to me that you have to go through those 5 stages until you reach acceptance in order to answer...but, probably, I would like to think that I would try to be just as nice to them as I would a stranger if meeting up with them or have to be in their presence. It won't be easy. Avoidance would be key and when I would see that 'person' a quick decision on how to approach should be applied depending on circumstances. The sooner you are out of the presence of the 'hated one' the better and although you will be upset for a while, count to 10, go for a walk, but always remember you are a better person if you don't start anything. As well, you will suffer less health issues.

dont let it eat you up. Hatred is a waste of the emotion.
Talk to them. Your question is a bit vague because you never said why you hate them.
If you keep hating this person then it'll do you mental&physical health no good. Try and get help to get around this anger and hatred.

when i come to the point of hating someone you usually should have a good reason for this. hate is a serious emotion. there are very few people ever that ive ever concidered hated by my self, but when i am in the situatino where im in the same room as them i first concider the situation and surroundings am i in my territory if its my house i wouldnt think twice before saying something. thats not always a good case though if i am at someone elses house i always stop to think would they be upset if i started something are they fond of this person would they be upset with me if a fight broke out? so alot of the time in that situation i just bite my tounge and dont give the person the time of day because after all one of my favorite saying is "keep talking sh*t your making me famous." i think in that case where im not in the position to act on my hate its best to make them feel so worthless thier not worth you time or even a breath it would take to say something.

I had such a situation at work last year. We made a ghastly mistake, when we appointed this awful woman. She disrespected me, as her Manager, did not meet any of the targets of her job, was adept at deceit and doing her own thing in work's time. Initially, her behaviour made me ill because I don't like confrontation. However, I had to really dig deep into my psyche and take her on head first. This I did and was ecstactic when she handed in her notice in Decemebr 2006. It just made us realise how crucial it is, to appoint the right person, in a small voluntary sector project. It also showed me that I can overcome my hatred of confrontation, when I absolutely have to.

The person you hate whether they are aware of it or not, will not be suffering as much as you , I've been there, and as hard as it might sound you have to try and completely block them from your mind when their image comes up, immediately switch to something that you are really interested in. Hate hurts the hater.

The only way to remove a spiritual sickness like hatred is to pray for that person you hate every day until you mean it.
It works. God will remove it for you

I can't think of anyone that I actually hate, that's a strong word, one or two people I'm not too keen on, so I avoid them, but hate? no, no one I hate.

first to hate someone is not good for you. To dislike a person for some reason may be better.Hatred will only make you a bitter person, and can make your life miserable. Love one another as you would love yourself!!
