You people are becoming dumber and dumber. The poster is right.
When they are drilling a new well or expanding an existing well they need drill bits to do the drilling, the drillbit requires a steady stream of water or it will break due to the heat. Since they are in a desert water for such a purpose is not as readily accessible as it would be on an off shore oil rig.
Damn we are a dumb country!

The war has always been about revenge not for 9/11 more the humiliation Bush senior suffered at not getting Saddam, so his idiot son took over, after stealing your country's government.
I think deceit full is a very generous description of them, its up to you to kick them out.

Mark Twain once said:
'Whiskey is for drinking, water is for fighting over,"
I think that should answer your question about water. The answer to the question about oil is obvious.

I've read that a lot of the Palestinian question is really about water rights - Israel gets 30% of its water from the Palestinian territory, and they're not about to give it up. Then the people who live by the water source right in Palestine can't use it. It's sad, really, and just gives radicals more fuel (to bomb and attack the US unfortunately).

They pump salt water into a well...
Jesus, read a book sometime or look at a globe. To give you a head start, that blue stuff on the globe represents water. It doesnt need to be desalinized in order to be pumped into a well. Also notice that theres quite a bit of it......

The war is about securing a permanent American military presence in the middle east. Oil is just a benefit.
