How about TWO DAYS??!!!
Seriously...If you have ever taken the time to read the info pamphlet it says VERY specifically that if you miss MORE THAN two pills consecutively, USE BACKUP.
The month-long coverage thing is a complete crock of BS. Try it and I guarantee you'll be in trouble FAST.
I switched from the pill to the diaphragm because I wanted to get regulated before trying to get pregnant, and I was pregnant within a MONTH...even using a stupid barrier method.

Once you stop taking the pill, you are no longer protected by it.
It may take a month for the pill to be totally out of your system. But it is only effective when you take it daily.
You can go off the pill and get pregnant in a week. Trust me.

You are never protected 100% even when ON the pill. So you could get pregnant ON the pill or immediately after the pill.

All contraceptive methods have their own limitation and percentage effectiveness.
And in your question, your concern is oral contraceptive pills. It is by research and studies, not highly effective and you can get pregnant anytime you are ovulating.
Don't believe on that one month.

I don't know for sure but I know I would never ever chance it as the risk of getting pregnant is greatly increased.

You're NOT protected 100% even if you take it every day.
The only way to protect yourself from getting pregnant is to keep your clothes on.
