You need a criminal attorney who knows the court system you are going to prosecuted in. Then the case be assessed and if a guilty plea is needed, it can minimize the sentence. There are many good public defenders, and good Private ones. Try the public defender first, if that attorney seems very poor, go hire your own, if the PD is good, then you get to save lots of money.
