Let's find a non-negative x such that x^2 + 2x = 3

x^2 + 2x = 3 // -3

x^2 + 2x - 3 = 0 // Completing the square

x^2 + 2x + 1 - 1 - 3 = 0

(x + 1)^2 - 4 = 0

(x + 1)^2 - 2^2 = 0

(x + 1 - 2)(x + 1 + 2) = 0

(x - 1)(x + 3) = 0

Choose x=1 because -3 < 0

g^-1(3) - 1

The correct answer is c.
