Okay so basically my boyfriend and I have been having unproteted sex...we've been doing this for awhile.. about 5 months now. However In July on the 23rd I went to the doctor and took the Depo Provera *sp?* shot, I was on my period very lightly, later that day it stopped. Its now Sept 7 and as of latly (last 2 weeks) Ive been feeling tired even if Ive slept all night I feel worn out, my boobs have been sore and its been extreamly uncomfortable to wear a bra or even touch them, and the last 4 days ive been feeling sick to my stomach.
The thing is I didnt get my period in August however Im not sure if its because of the shot or because I may be pregnant.
Ive made an appointment with the family doctor, just need some advice to tide me over the next 5 days.

My hubby and I, before we even got married were having unprotected sex for a year and a half, and never got pregs...many times i thought i was, but wasnt the best thing to do is GO GET A TEST!!
When my hubby and i decided to start trying, i was excited becasue by my calcuations it may have been timing to get it on the first try....so 2 days before my missed period i took a test and it came out negative.. :( but then still had suspitions i was and took one again 3 days later and sure enough- the faints line ever came across the screen for a plus sign, but it was so faint i wasn't sure, so yet again i tried the next day and there it was faint again. My hubby and I knew it was positive but if you were to look realy quick you woulda missed it..went to the doctor and they confirmed i was 4 weeks....but i was very tired and sore boobs- my earliest sign was the cravings....GET A TEST!!

Did they give you a pregnancy test when you got the shot? Your symptoms def sound like early pregnancy signs. Still, those shots and any other birth control are hormonal, which is the reason pregnant women feel those things-crazy hormones. Take an at-home test.

those are signs of pregnancy but, birth control is designed to fool your body into thinking it's pregnant. i know when i was on the pill i had sore breasts, tired and naseous. the only way you'll know is if you take the test or when you actually give birth!!

When you got the shot, What did they tell you the side effects were??? Any of the symptoms you're feeling??? Sore breast was one of my first signs of pregnancy... disregard all those rude answers!!! I know peoples experiences can give you a sense of comfort... Good Luck!!!
