Do they make you want to go out and try their products? I only ask because all my favourite sites are now running ads.

They annoy the pants out of me! Sky News used to be really good until they put loads of ads on it, even breaking up the stories with ads in between. They do slow down the computer at times as well. If I wanted to look at them I would go to google and search for the products.

Nope. ^_^ *lol* At least not in any way the Ad Industry wants.
I'm one of those. Advertising in general pisses me off. I think it's a plague upon human existence, one of those things that is just making us "dumb and dumber", so to speak.
And yes, it pays the bills, I get that. -_-
But do they always have to be *so* utterly annoying and without any class at all whatsoever?
Honestly, when I see an advert....my inclination is to *resist*. Always. I didn't have anything good or bad going *against* Diet Pepsi until Yahoo started running their damned ads for it in my face. Ads about football, of all things....and I don't even *like* football. And the sad part is...
These people do surveys all the time. It isn't like they don't know. It isn't. You can tell people you *hate* football, and that you *hate* diet soft drinks all you want to, and it doesn't make a damned bit of difference. They will shovel the spam in your face anyway.
So yeah, any more, if I see ads at *all* my impulse is to resist and *refuse*. The harder the sell, the more I say "no, Hell no, no, and oh yeah, NO!!"
Really. Ads are spam. They are useless to me, because I don't typically *HAVE* a ton of money with which to waste on buying things. All adverts do is irritate the piss right out of me, and make the internet slower and less fun.
Sorry to go on so....but somebody has to say it.

I don't like the newest ones that are out now, where if your mouse courser rolls over them and they get bigger, the ones with a close on it are fine, but there are some that don't have a close option and even moving the mouse away from it, it stays up. they annoy me. the old ones are fine, and they can be helpful when looking for websites to find something specific.

They irritate me if they are distracting.Other than that I ignore them.I never buy anything because of an advert.

Not sure how you mean affect?
They slow my pc down.
Make me feel ill if they are the ones that flash and thats about it.
