This is not called "news", it's "propoganda". It is not new and was used a lot by the Germans and the British during WWII. However, the media has to report the propoganda coming from Afghanistan, Pakistan and the Middle East to bring about a balance. Otherwise, we would only get a one sided propoganda campaign and that becomes more dangerous as the world will not have any idea as to what is happening and where. Inside any propoganda is some truth but not all. Had it not been for the media, we would still believe that Saddam Hussain had WMDs and that he was buying nuclear material from Iran. Bush and Blair would have gotten away with their deception and their 3 year conspiracy to invade. Another thing to ponder over is why did the US hand over Saddam when he still had charges to answer? It doesn't make sense as Saddam is now legally innocent of all those other charges. Did they want him executed so fast in case the real truth came out? Would Saddam have told the world about the scandals behind the oil for food and medicine agreement? If he did, the world would know that the US had broken the agreement and for nearly 5 years hundreds (possibly thousands) of Iraqis had died from starvation and disease. The US was taking the oil but not paying for it in food and medicines as agreed. The US couldn't provide the food and medicine as all the billions of dollars that were supposed to pay for it had been syphoned off. The whole program was riddled with fraud and corruption and yet nobody has been brought to justice over the missing billions of dollars. It's only because Saddam told the US that they are getting no more oil that he was suddenly this mad man that held the world to ransom, with his (non-existant) WMDs. The world has forgot that the US put Saddam in power, through the provision of arms and finance, in the first place. The world has forgot that the Taliban were given arms and money and placed in power by the US. At the time, the US claimed to be funding "Freedom Fighters" and the aim was to force the former Soviet Union out of Afghanistan. The US seen all Communist held states as enemies and funded the Taliban to get rid of the Soviet "terrorists". That alone was a terrorist act by the US. As long as the US controls the power in any country that country is friendly. As soon as they start losing the power they declare individuals, even Governments of being terrorists. The facts are that as long as the US keeps supplying "illegal" Cluster Bombs, Aircraft and Tanks etc. to Israel for them to bomb women and children in Palestine and Lebanon, the fight will go on. The real terrorists are the US and those that try to defend their nation are really "Freedom Fighters". I remember too well, the days of the PLO. The world recognised the PLO and Yasser Arafat as "Freedom Fighters" as they were both defending and trying to reclaim their land. However, the US, on it's own continuously claimed that the PLO were "terrorists". They encouraged Israel to prevent any movements of PLO members and continuously campaigned to prevent Yasser Arafat from attending any International Summits. The day that he was invited to attend a Summit and Israel was told to allow him to travel was the day that the US delegates refused to participate in that particular summit. The only person that has ever come close to bringing about peace in the Middle East was Yasser Arafat. Sadly, until the day he died, the US still condemned him as a terrorist and Israel continuously tried to kill him. However, when he did die, the US followed all the other leaders and hailed Yasser Arafat as a worthy hero of the Middle East. Today, they have put him in the US history as a terrorist again. Finally, on day one of the invasion of Iraq, I was in Africa and saw both the BBC World News and CNN News. CNN reported that US troops were only 50km from Baghdad, the BBC reported that they were 150km from the city. Day two, CNN report that US troops are only 100km from Baghdad? What happened, did the US Army retreat 50km overnight? According to CNN they did. The Airport was another classical bit of US propoganda. CNN reported that the US have secured the airport and it's buildings. The BBC reported that the US were 6km from the airport and were under fire. It took a further two days for the troops to get to the airport and secure it. Sadly, after that we got no BBC World News as whenever a Satellite signal got through, the signal was jammed so we could only get CNN News. I stopped watching the news then as CNN had only been broadcasting false propoganda but the BBC was more interested in facts and truth. I say the media should show us what is on any tape coming from Afghanistan, Pakistan and the Middle East but excluding executions as that is going too far. At the end of the day, I'm sure many people in the Middle East etc. will be thinking that you should go suck buffalo s***. Don't forget, 99.99% of the people in the Middle East etc. are peaceful people and have done no harm. The 0.01% that are deemed terrorists are doing what they believe is right to both defend and to avenge their people. This war has not a thing to do with religion, it's all to do with one nation (the US) trying to be God and strip the world of all power, for itself.
