Of course there are numerous sources, however this company has a variety of options, from PTO, Gas or electric. I have included the URL for an electric model, light duty. Explore their website for more options.

Gas. The electric won't do oak. Not powerful enough. They work ok on 4x4's and small softwood. Northern tool is kind of high priced. Look at the 22 ton speeco at tractor supply for a reasonable one. I've heard good things about it. Iron and Oak is one of the best, but you will pay for it. If money is no problem, get the big one.

Hands tired from trying to split with a maul and sledge ? I certainly understand !!
My brother's ranch is covered in oak and douglas fir... his second season we bought a gas-powered hydraulic Log Splitter. http://www.mainkaenterprises.com/inventory.php?PG=9&start=1&SR=ALL&SV=&MID=TWHV1
We went GAS, because it's easier to take the splitter to a downed tree that lugging 20-36 inch rounds to an electrical outlet, AND we split 2-3 cords of wood each season.

I like gas ones myself. If you can stand Harbor Freight tools, they have a cheap gas one as well as one powered by hand using a bottle jack, if you are the environmental type of person.
