Hapiness is something that can be either. I believe to be happy a person must have a fair amount of control of the environment in which they live, work and play. Happiness for some people is elusive. Some folks are too concerned with influences and events that keep their minds preoccupied with garbage that keeps them from ever achieving true happiness.

Physical health is partly a genetic gift but much more a personal choice that involves, obviously, diet and exercise, among other things. I think happiness is the outcome of mental health, which, like the physical, is partly genetic but depends greatly on mental habits, beliefs, attitudes, and so on.

first of all i don't think its i chose its just contagious its like if your in a group you will feel happy or if your girlfriend is smiling you will smile, and why do all the sad people chose to smile, if you feel really down in the dumps why don't you choose to smile or be happy, if your girlfriend dumps you and you cry why don't you choose to be happy i know your suppose to be sad or even cry when gf dumps you but why don't you choose to be happy. my point is that if people are sad you cant choose to be happy and fix the problem, you see when my girlfriend dumped me i was sad i even had tears i wanted to be happy again but i cant because you cant choose to be happy. you have to do something you like to be happy or have a friend make you feel better and that is how you get to a state called happiness not by choosing to be happy.

I think you can control how you choose to accept the events that take place in your life and how they will change you...
but generally; if someone you loved dies, your home burns down, or you get fired... its probably going to be a bad day ;)

"Happiness is an attitude. We either make ourselves miserable or happy and strong. The amount of work is the same."
