it depends on what 1 you are running and what windows you are running as well, usually you can go into google and type in internet explorer and it will come up with the latest download of it.

Go to http://www.microsoft.com and follow the Downloads link and you'll be able to fetch the latest and greatest stuff.
(Make sure you're running Internet Explorer at the time, and not Firefox, as Microsoft doesn't like to give away anything while you're not running THEIR browser...!)
Also, SOMETIMES it helps, but it's not strictly necessary, to fetch yourself a free ".net" passport (which is also hotmail userid), for which you may register at http://www.msn.com

if you want to have different things on your explorer, you can make it look fancier if you download mozilla firefox.
