Start with 6+8 = 14. Now you have 5[24 - (14)] --> 5(24-14) = 5(10) = 50

1. deal with what in (). Okay? So, that 6 + 8 which = 14
5[24 - 14] =
2. then deal with the second set. 24 - 14 = 10
5(10)
3. 5 multiplies 10 times = 50
