Low refridgerant, worn compressor or clutch fan slipping.

To some extent this is normal since the air flow is what draws the heat away from the condensor coil.

However, you can check a couple of things:

1. Freon pressures/volume. Have to pay some A/C shop to do this.

2. Is the radiator fan spinning as fast as it should? This can be checked while parked and engine off and if there is any wobble or play or it spins too freely (no resistance) in the fan clutch then it needs to be replaced.

Might check you engine coolant level and mix ratio of antifreeze to water (50/50) as this will make the motor run warmer in Summer if there's too much antifreeze and not enough water.

Good Luck!

Check to ensure that its not low in Freon. Note: all auto ac's cool better while the vehicle is moving since the evaporator is being cooled much better and thus passes that effect on to you. Also when the engine is at a higher RPM, so is the Compressor.

in front of the radiator is your evaporator core, if it is cooling at speed, then you are not getting good airflow through the evaporator, get some CLR or a cleaner at the store for aluminum radiators and spray it down.
