What are some contemporary connections to Athena the goddess???

Hmm she once had this friend and when they were playing with disks the wind was not in favor and Athena's disk killed her friend because of the wind therefore Athena used her friend's name in honor.
there is a tale that there was a young woman who could sew like no one else. Athena challenged her, and the woman won. In Athena's anger, she turned the woman into a spider. That shows Athena has anger issues.

My answer isn't about products or companies, but it does give a contemporary view of Athena herself.

Athena is known as one of the three virgin goddesses, referred to as virgin because they were able to remain independent, unswayed by the spells of Aphrodite, the goddess of love, and the consequent pull of marriage and motherhood. Romance and marriage did not feature in Athena's mythology. In Greek mythology Athena was, in essence, the prototype of the contemporary "career woman".

A psychologist wrote a book called "goddesses in everywoman" and she used the greek goddesses as examples of different types of woman personalities, like Hera likes being married, Athena is a daddy's girl, Artemis is very career oriented,etc.author was jean shinoda bolen.
