With me it's the other way around. I think I hear a bag or something rustling in the wind and before you know it I realize I've got a wasp up my shirt and three bad stings.

No, but I saw a wasp on the wall out of the corner of my eye and thought was a spider. I screamed (to the amusement of my sister) and ran.

If said sound might startle me.. after I see what it was.. I'd grab a section of some old paper/news maybe !?! form it into a tube like structure!!; And as MANY do.. I'd give a warning ?lol? for instance: "I got you now sucker" or oh.` there you `'R'`r.r`r,` "Do'nt move"!?! lol Or do you prefer to sneak up on it like some Ninja ?lol? and do'nt let it act like it's about to fly away from the area.'lol you'll lose your mind trying to duck out of the way !! lol

yes, and i've smashed a good table because of it.
because during that time, i had been terrorized by several moths and.. well i was in the mode of kill any damn insect in sight, so when the bag rustled, i flew out of my chair, blindly seized my baseball bat and smashed it down behind me... unfortunately, i did this in mid-turn and the bat nailed the coffee table

yes, I have a fear of bees and wasps. I react like that often. It's embarrassing .
