I've got a laptop i don't know who have messed it up and made it in a "Sleep Mode" the laptop turn on but the screen won't work my cousin could make the screen work he said that he pressed a button and i tried and no use, he said he don't know how? don't tell me press the (turn on) button becouse the screen won't work only the computer will work plz help iv'e got a lot of work to do and i will be in a big trouble if i couldn't make it and how i cancel the sleep mode?

i pressd the button for a while the laptop have been turned off, but when i turn it on again the screen wont work. BTW im using HP laptop

Press and hold the power button for a couple seconds.

Normally it is the power button that you press. If that does not do it, check the documentation that came with the laptop (or the manufacturer's web site). It is different for every make and model.
If all else fails, press and hold the power button down for about 15 to 20 seconds. That will turn the laptop completely off, and then you can repower it like normal.
