does a '91 3.1liter transmission match to a 305 block?

i want to put a chevy 305 into my camaro, it has the 3.1 v6 motor in it now, can i use the old tranny and just hook the motor too it?

No, the 3.1 is a 60 degree engine, small block V8's are 90 degree motors, nothing interchanges.

Not a chance as the bolt patterns are far different. The tranny for the V-6 probably wouldn't take the power of the 305 anyways.
