Since you asked this question, the assumption is that you are already considering quitting. Good for you. Smoking is a nasty habit. But you already know that. You also know that it is not healthy for you to smoke, and you know all the dangers of it. So I'm not going to tell you the health reasons to quit.
However, I will talk to you about the social and financial side of smoking. I'm sure you have heard about the health risks of second hand smoke, and how the spouses of smokers die from the lung cancer and stuff like that. Smokers smell bad, and their cars and clothes smell bad. Their hair smells bad, their teeth are yellow and disgusting. Their breath is atrocious, no matter how often they brush or use mouthwash. By quitting smoking, you could save up enough money in a year to have a very nice vacation in Hawaii or someplace like that. Add up the money you spend in a year just on cigarettes. It's probably well over $3000. You could get a nice vacation, cruise, or used car with that kind of savings.
Anyway, to answer your question, YES! You should quit smoking. The benefits of quitting far outweigh the price of addiction. Good luck. You can do it.

since you smoke that much everyday, your body got adjusted having these poisons running ur body. That's why people with more serious drug problems can actually die by quiting abruptly. You hav to take decrease your amount of cigarettes maybe every few weeks or whatever you're comfortable with. The reason why you were coughing and stuff (tryign to not smoke) was because your body was so used to having 2-5 cigarettes a day. So each week you should decrease slowly from 2-4cigarettes, then another few weeks, 2-3, then so on.

That depends! Do you have any children? If you answered yes to the last question, then let me ask you this:
Do you want to see your children graduate high school, maybe even college?
Good! Then quit smoking, NOW and your dreams will come true, if not, then they will graduate without seeing their Father there to watch them and to be proud of them!
It's that simple, friend!
Smoking kills! It's your choice to make!
Good Luck!
Thank you,

By all means you should stop! For one thing, it's beneficial to your health and those you love or that love you. Your clothes will stop stinking, your breath wan't smell like an ashtray, you won't develop crows feet under your eyes, and your stamina and endurance will increase dramatically. Of course the main thing is that you stand a lot better chance of not developing cancer, heart or lung disease. I smoked for a long time until finally quitting for good in 1996 and it was the wisest decision I've ever made. Best of luck to you sir.

I ask myself the same question...lI feel smoking helps me deal with people! LOL
Yes you should.
I am starting pills called Chantix and they work GREAT! I used them for 1 month (you have to be on it for at least 3) and I stopped smoking. I stopped the pills to early thinking I was fine and I slowly started back up again but the people I know who used it the full time have not smoked since.
Good luck.

As a person also trying to quit (tried twice, went back), I definitely say YES. I am not one to speak, but it's very dangerous. I actually started having chest pain because my lungs are not getting enough air. So the health issues are NOT bullshit.
Good luck! And, whatever you do, DO NOT go back, I did and it acually destroyes your self esteem every time you light up that "first" cigarette after an attempt to stop.

No. Because the more we tell you to quit - the more likely you will take no notice of us.
Just to let you know - my father died of smoking related cancer.
I have NEVER smoked.
