Never ever take more than one aspirin a day or you might get internal bleeding and other problems such as kidney problems, etc.
Take your one aspirin a day with food to minimise any chances of stomach problems and other problems.
You are probably better off without aspirin but it does thin your blood and reduce your blood pressure.

I have stopped taking aspirin and NSAIDS altogether because (I believe) the danger
of a bleeding stomach has not
been stressed enough.
To get the blood thinning effects of aspirin, there are
many natural products.
Garlic caps for starters.

The main undesirable side effects of aspirin are gastrointestinal distress—including ulcers and stomach bleeding—and tinnitus, especially in higher doses. Another adverse effect is increased bleeding in menstruating women, due to aspirin's anticoagulant properties. Aspirin is no longer used to control flu-like symptoms or the symptoms of chickenpox in children under 12 years of age due to the risk of Reye's syndrome

Taking it with food will decrease the likelihood of stomach injury, however, overuse, with or without food, will critically damage your liver.
