I doubt the Dems will have to do anything more than publish his voting record as a Senator and show the list of corporations he worked for as a paid Washington lobbyist. The guy is not a politician, he is more of a hire for pay whore of corporations. If Thompson is the best the Repubs have to offer then it will be a very long, cold election night for the Repub Party. Hillary, Edwards, Obama any of the three would destroy Fred.

Pretty soon
I think it is good. It opens up the field and gives more moderate candidates like Romney and Guliani a viable strong conservative VP candidate.
No. Thompson can't win a straight up election, but as a VP candidate he can hurt them.
Hilliary. Thompson just can't attract moderates like Hilliary and doesn't command the money assets Hilliary does.
No. If anything his Hollywood connections will turn off conservatives.

The EGALITARIAN left would have little need to be concerned about Fred's candidacy, since he doesn't stand a snowflake's chance in a blast furnace of being nominated. And if by any chance he *should* happen to get the nomination, Hillary will make mincemeat of him.
To "Eric, RI" and "Enigma" -- ROTFL!!!! *More* Ron Paul Internet hucksters heard from! (What a joke!)

FT is a joke. Did you happen to see the roaring crowd there at his opening campaign speech. There were all of about 20 people there.
Ron Paul is a true conservative.

When he quits pretending to be a conservative after lobbying for abortion rights...he's a major hypocrite...just like the rest of the Republicans running.
