The perimeter is the sum of all the sides. For ex. if you have a rectangle with sides 3 and 4, then the Perimeter = 2(3) + 2(4) because you have two sides that are length 3 and 2 sides that are length 4.

Here, you use the same formula, P = 2(length) + 2(width)
P = 2(3x-4) + 2(7x+10)
P = 6x - 8 + 14x + 20
P = 20x +12

A rectangle has two pairs of parallel sides. One pair has a length of 3x-4 and the other pair has a length of 7x+10. The perimeter is the sum of the four sides. Thus,
3x-4 + 3x-4 + 7x+10 + 7x+10 = perimeter
20x+12=perimeter length

The perimeter of a rectangle is the sum of all four sides ( 2 widths and 2 lengths):
The given sides are of one width and one length so double each one and add them to get:

2(3x-4) + 2(7x+10) = it as just algebra from here.
6x - 8 + 14x + 20 =
20x + 12

2(3x-4)+2(7x+10)=P

Each of those equations is one side it gives you two sides then. Since in a rectangle there are two pairs of equal sides you have all four sides so now you just put it into an equation and that is the equation for the perimeter.

P=2(l+b)
=2(3x-4+7x+10)
=2(10x+6)
=20x+12

let l be one of the side.....l=3x-4
and b be the other side.....b=7x+10

now we know that perimeter of rectangle is 2(l+b)
==> 2(3x-4+7x+10)
==> 2(10x+6)

therefore the expression which reprents its perimeter is 2(10x+6) or 20x+12.

perimeter of a rectangle
2(w+l)
2(3x-4 + 7x+10)=
6x-8+14x+20
6x+14x=20x
20-8=12
so the answer is=
20x+12
explanation:
we put similar cofficents together and expressions together with their signs then solve it .
