First of all, how did you pay this account in the past? What type of debt is it? why did you not just call them for an address? You cannot assume just because you sent an e-mail, that the right person got it or that they got it at all. When you first took out this debt, what was the repayment agreement? They must have given you some method and due date for payment...what was it and why could you not use their method? The
$30.00 is not an overdraft, but probably a late fee in that you did not pay on time. You are responsible for paying on time using their method of payment as given to you at the time you incurred the debt. If you needed a change in the way you make payments, they would have to agree to it. Sorry, but that's the law under the Uniform Commercial Code in all states, the law that governs financial transactions.

call the company or find the paper that says where you are supposed to write to the. If that e-mail goes to the wrong address they may still charge you. Call them its your best bet.
