I like to go through the older ones,to read the headstones.Here in Italy they have photos of the dead.

Believe it or not I absolutely adore cemeteries it must be one of the most peaceful place you can go to. I read the headstones and sometimes tidy some strangers grave.

i do, there is no one around to bother you, you can sit and cry for a loved one in peace. like the one person i like to go and read the old headstones although they dont have pic here.

its very peaceful in the sense that its a place meant to reflect, pray and talk to a loved one who has passed.

i totally agree they are very peaceful especially around dawn ,and as they say its the living ones you have to worry about.

i'm like barbara i like looking at the older headstones and trying to read the inscriptions and see how different they are from each other. (such as one from different sections....that is by race meaning like asians has their own section while another section could be for russian)

I find them very spooky and depressing.
The dead rest in the ground while the living mournes a dead relative in funeral near by.
