Well aren't you just Mr. Wonderful? I bet you walk on water, too, don't you?
Shut the hell up, dude.
Edit: Oh, and while you're at it, I'm sure your wife would love it if you went under the knife to get your penis enlarged too. She told me it was too small, and you said you didn't care, 'cause it "did the job" already. She was sad.

Many ob-gyn's have heard that! However, it won't happen.... especially if she has a c-section (hopefully she won't need it) or if she doesn't tear or need an episiotomy.
Here are the uses they do it now and it is more rare to have one done...
Many physicians use episiotomies because they believe that it will lessen perineal trauma, minimize postpartum pelvic floor dysfunction by reducing anal sphincter muscle damage, reduce the loss of blood at delivery, and protect against neonatal trauma. In many cases though, episiotomies cause all of these problems. Research has shown that natural tears typically are less severe.
Episiotomies may be indicated if:
* there is any sign of fetal distress while the baby is in the birth canal
* a delivery occurs too quickly for the vagina to stretch naturally
* the baby's head is too large for the opening
* the baby's shoulders are stuck (When a baby's shoulders are stuck they are stuck behind bony pelvis, not soft tissue, so this indication is disputed)
* it is a breech birth or forceps delivery
Hope your wife has a safe and healthy birthing process!

Thats not the kind of thing you should be telling you pregnant wife! You should be looking after her and making sure she knows you still find her sexy and not just a baby maker! She will never be the way she was when you met and if you married her i'm sure thats not what you really want as people change as they get older (including you) you should stop saying that and realise she is the special woman you fell in love with and will always love no matter what.

An extra stitch will help but, that will only help at the opening of the vagina. After birth she can do Kagel(this may be misspelled) exercises. It is done by tightening her vagina muscles like she would do during urination. Holding it for ten seconds, relaxing, then doing again for several repetitions. Do this several times a day. this will tighten the walls of the vagina. Good for you and her. Have fun!

Yes not much is written about the damage which can be done to mothers through birthing. Some suffer three and even four degree tears.
Your wife may be one of the fortunate ones who delivers easily without tearing at all in which case, only a few pelvic floor exercises will be necessary, if at all.
Good luck to you both and trust there won't have any complications with the birth of your precious baby.

i really don't know if that is right or if a doctor would even consider doing that... she will only need stitches if she tears or has to get cut... and she will shrink back up after the baby anyways because you can't have sex for like 6 weeks...or more in some cases, and extra stitch could be dangerous...

What the h*ll is poregnant? If your "wife" is really in this condition, I hope to God you know how to spell it! And are you a lesbian couple? Otherwise, why is your avatar a woman? Whatever.

I have heard men say that so much. I surely hope you are kidding. The doctor will not find humor in it, and your wife will be the same before and after the baby. Let's just hope you don't stay the same.

I think you are crossing the line there. If I was your wife I'd be pissed that you said something like that to me. Having a baby will not make it any bigger if that's what you are thinking.

Thats just stupid. Worry about becoming a parent and caring for a family instead of the one time extra pleasure you will get.
