Since that's your over flow for your sink..Run your water until it's hot, Plug the drain, put a small bit of Clorox or whatever cleaner you use in the sink, fill the sink with hot water until it starts draining down you overflow. let it run for about two minutes. It should clear whatever is left from the party from the drain and stop the Oder.

Pour Simple Green in it and let it stand all night. I think you are talking about the overflow hole. Then in the morning rinse it out with HOT water. Shine a flashlight in there to see if something was stuck into it. Or take a pipe cleaner and see if you can feel anything. If it's just an odor the Simple Green will work.

Try pouring bleach into the overflow hole and let is stand for a few minutes. Then fill sink until water flows into overflow, to rinse it out. than drain sink.

If you can, put a hose down that hole, see if you can wash it down the drain, it is connected to the drain. Otherwise, a long wire brush to push it down. Also you could try spraying windex or clorox down that hole. That hole is not a pipe, it is built in the sink for overflow into the drain.

Engage the sink stopper. Pour in one cup of bleach. Add water (cold is fine) slowly, to prevent splashing. Let the water run and go through the overflow. Let it run until the bleach smell is gone. This should clear it up.

You need to go into the pipe from under the sink. Remove the pipe above the trap and replace it is what I would do.
It will cost under $10 for the supplies and any Home depot can tell you easily how to do it.
We bought HUD house years ago and the angry foreclosed former owner put cement down the pipes. I changed out every pipe myself without any experience and it was easy. You can do it too.

That's the "overflow".
Pour some bleach into it. Maybe with a funnel.
