And how many days did Sharpton get for vilifying the players? At least the prosecutor admitted and took responsibility for his actions. That racist idiot Sharpton has never apologized for how horribly he treated this case. Fact is the prosecutor may not have been so quick to judge if it wasn't for that moron yelling racism all over the place.
I hope while these guys are creating their lawsuits they go after that gasbag along with the school, the county, the prosecutor and that lying stripper.

If the Judges started handing down 25 to life maybe we could find people who did not seek an opportunity to exploit others for personal gain such as this attorney for the government attempted to do .
Mexicans in the 50's and 60's got 25 plus years for smoking pot . I think we could do the same with people who misrepresent the truth . Bill Clinton for instance would have been forced to say hey I had sex in the oval office with a young woman . Not look for legal wiggling room around it .
We as a nation have done nothing but avoid the truth for decades now .
I for one am ready for a harsh dose of reality .

After all he put those boys through? I most certainly agree, and that young woman should have to spend some time for perjury also. For those young men life will never be the same.

He is living proof that Democrates will do anything to get elected.
He should be doing 5 to 10 years.
I hope the lawsuits take everything he has plus 50% of his income for life.

Hey, get over it. You're in America. Justice for the rich, and for those who are priviledged enough to have completed law school. This goes on in every small town across this country. We tend to believe what we are told rather than reality. We start as children saying the pledge, ..."and justice for all", so we begin to believe that. It is an illusion.
The Duke prosecutor should have gone to Abu Ghraib where our soldiers don't beat, rape, electrocute, or kill detainees. They read them bedtime stories and give them chocolate milk. Just ask any Republican. LOL.

Lots of people will "think not," but that's the nature of the system. I'm not doing a Rodney King moment, but if you look at Nifong's body of work, you'll see that discovery -- full, complete discovery -- was among the traits that he valued the most.
I don't want to make excuses for him, but I do believe that as egregious as his crime was, it may not have been a lie of intent, but rather unconscious omission.
Besides, the innocent defendants will take Durham county to hell by the time their attorneys are finished with them.
